Description
The City of Brenham adopted Impact Fees in February 2024. An Impact Fee is a charge or assessment imposed on new development to generate revenue for funding the costs of capital improvements necessitated by the new development. Impact fees are only assessed on projects which result in an impact to the water and wastewater system. The Impact Fee ordinance included a grandfathering period of 1-year which concludes July 1, 2025. To help prepare for questions about impact fees assessed on upcoming projects, please join us for an informative meeting to educate when an impact fee is assessed, at what time the fee is collected and how to determine the costs of an impact fee on a new development project. Stephanie Doland, Director of Development Services is our presenter and will provide tools and resources to understand the details Impact Fees.
